About

Katie Ahmann earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2021. She also completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Conservatory in 2019 and was awarded the Dean's Award of Achievement as the Undergraduate Valedictorian. Her musical journey took off with a first place finish in the American Protégé International Competition and award recital at Carnegie Hall. A two-time National Young Arts Winner, Katie recently made her radio debut on KDFC, performing Miss Pinkerton in Menotti's Old Maid and the Thief. This past year, she made her European debut, performing the title role in the world premiere of Michael Polo's opera Pluto in Vienna, Austria. Other career highlights include playing the roles of Despina in the Bloomington Summer Opera Workshop production of Così fan tutte and Luisa in the San Francisco Conservatory production of The Fantasticks

Music Lessons

Throughout Katie's six years at the Conservatory, her love for music education flourished. She began teaching private vocal lessons in the Spring of 2019 and served as the Conservatory's German tutor from 2018-2021. Katie is able to accommodate students through in-person and virtual lessons via Zoom and FaceTime.
